Ranchi, 7 December (IANS). Union Minister of State for Defense Sanjay Seth watched the film ‘The Sabarmati Report’ made on Godhra incident in the theater on Saturday. Speaking to IANS after watching the film, he said that the film has exposed the truth of the Godhra massacre, which took place in 2002 and which was felt by the entire country with deep grief and sorrow.
Sanjay Seth said that the entire country was traumatized by the Godhra incident, today that truth has come out in the form of a film. The country saw the truth and after the commission was constituted, every aspect was considered. The incident of burning of Ram devotees returning from Ayodhya by sprinkling petrol was very painful. Small children and women became victims of this act. There was an attempt to break the country, but our country is very strong. Today we got justice and this justice was also felt by the country. Then after some time, the auspicious inauguration of Lord Shri Ram’s temple took place, which was a moment of satisfaction for those martyrs.
He said that today this truth is in front of everyone and this film is telling the truth of this scandal to 140 crore people of the entire country. Such films are not propaganda. The people who find this film to be propaganda are the same people who are ashamed to say Bharat Mata ki Jai and who celebrate Pakistan’s victory. I ask this question to such people, ask those families whose people were burnt alive. His only fault was that he was going to Ayodhya to visit Shri Ram temple. What was his crime? How was he burnt alive? This question is still there and someone has to answer it.
He further said that the truth cannot be hidden. Our country is very great and all the judicial commissions that have been constituted have given decisions to bring out the truth. The media has also shown the whole truth, and no one can suppress the truth. It is said that every big truth comes out one day, be it ‘Kashmir Files’ or any other scandal. Now we have to face those acts which try to break this country, which want to divide the society on the basis of religion. For those people who feel ashamed of Bharat Mata Ki Jai and Vande Mataram, this film has a deep message.
Let us tell you that ‘The Sabarmati Report’ is based on the incident of fire in the Sabarmati Express train. This incident took place on 27 February 2002, in which 59 people died due to burns. The film stars actresses Raashi Khanna and Vikrant Massey as journalists who work together to uncover the brutal truth behind one of India’s most controversial incidents. At the same time, in the film, actress Riddhi Dogra has played the role of an English journalist, who wants the truth not to come out. Presented by Balaji Motion Pictures, Vikir Films, ‘The Sabarmati Report’ is produced by Shobha Kapoor, Ekta Kapoor, Amul V. Mohan and Anshul Mohan. The film was released in theaters on 15 November.
