Jaipur : Jaipur On the occasion of ‘UN World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims’, a program was organized in the middle of Jawahar Kala Kendra on Sunday evening. In this, tribute was paid to those who lost their lives in road accidents. About 600 students from more than 40 schools of the city participated in the program. It started with the band march of school students. After this, through a special presentation, tribute was given to those who lost their lives in road accidents.
At the same time, through the play ‘Helmet’ directed by Raju Kumar, the students emphasized the importance of wearing a helmet while driving. The winners of the Reel Challenge based on road safety were honored during the programme. On this occasion, students of Rajasthan Hip Hop Center and Sanskar School presented group songs and rap songs. Students of Purnima College of Engineering displayed their art through dance drama.
Major accidents can be prevented by following small traffic rules.
On this occasion, Jaipur Police Commissioner Biju George Joseph was present as the chief guest. He said that by following small traffic rules we can prevent major road accidents. Public awareness is very important for this. MLA Gopal Sharma said that the common man should strictly follow traffic rules like wearing helmet, obeying traffic lights and preventing overloading of vehicles.
On this occasion, Jaipur Citizen Forum Chairman Rajeev Arora, former DGP and Muskaan Foundation Chairman Manoj Bhatt and Neurosurgeon VD Sinha were also present. In the program, students from various schools of the city gave the message of being careful and safe on the road and following traffic rules through songs, dance and drama. These presentations were designed to increase awareness and engage especially the youth about the importance of road safety.
