The work of the bridge being built on Ahu and Kyasari rivers will stop from 5 in Jhalawar hours.

Jhalawar News Desk: To ease the road during rainy season in the district, approval has been given for high level culverts at many places. At some places the work started but at some places the forest department created hurdles. The biggest problem during the rainy season is due to floods in Ahu and Kalisindh rivers. Contact with many villages is cut off. These days, high level bridges are being built in the district below Gagron Fort on Kalisindh River and near Bhimsagar on Ujaad River. At the same time, the work of the bridge at Aawar on Ahu and Kyasari rivers has remained incomplete for five years. So after the Chambal river bridge is washed away, no work has been started on it yet.

the road will not stop

A high level bridge is being built on Kalisindh river near Gagron Fort at a cost of Rs 68 crore. In which Rs 34 crore will be used for bridge work and Rs 34 crore for road and other minor culvert related works. Its height will be about 20 meters. It will have 13 pillars. Its height has been kept about four and a half meters above the high ground level. In such a situation, the target is to complete the work of this bridge by June 15.

Benefit to a dozen villages

About a dozen villages are located in the Mukandra area from Jhalawar district headquarters towards Gagron. When the Kalisindh river swells, a dozen villages are cut off from the district headquarters. During this time, villagers risk their lives and cross the river by swimming, boat or with the help of a tube. The construction of the bridge will provide great relief to the villagers. The natural beauty of the Mukandra mountain range attracts tourists immensely. Tourists will be able to admire the world heritage during the rainy season.

Final approval not received for Ahu River

Along with Kalisindh river, high level police was to be constructed on Ahu river also. But final approval has not been given by the Forest Department. Although the Public Works Department has deposited Rs 23 lakh in the Forest Department for the permission of the first phase, the construction of the high level bridge on the Ahu river will be possible only after getting the final approval. The total cost of this culvert is about Rs 22 crore. Its height will also be around 20 meters. In which 200-200 meter approach road will also be built on both sides.
