Nagaur : Nagaur A youth resident of village Chhoti Beti of Didwana was stopped from going abroad by Salam Air flight despite having a valid visa and ticket and was deboarded at Jaipur airport. In this case, the victim youth had filed a petition in the Permanent Lok Adalat Merta. After which the court, while hearing, has issued notice to the Immigration Bureau and Home Ministry and sought a reply. Rajasthan High Court advocate Sarwar Khan filed a petition on behalf of Amjad Khan, a resident of Chhoti Beri of Didwana district, and told the Permanent Lok Adalat that the petitioner Amjad Khan had booked a ticket from Jaipur to Damam by Salam Air, after completing all the airport formalities and immigration to leave for Damam city from Jaipur airport, the petitioner went to the flight and sat on his seat.
Deboarded from the plane saying that the visa had expired
After boarding the flight, the airport staff and immigration bureau officials made Amjad Khan get off the flight before it took off. When the youth asked the reason, he was told that his visa had expired. Therefore, he cannot travel abroad. Whereas the petitioner had a valid visa and ticket. Despite this, he was made to get off the flight, which has violated the fundamental rights of the petitioner.
The court sought answers from the authorities
After the preliminary hearing, notices have been issued to Chief Airport Officer, Airports Authority of India, Jaipur, Manager, Salam Air, New Delhi and Immigration Commissioner, Bureau of Immigration, Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, New Delhi and orders have been issued to submit their replies. The right to travel abroad is an important fundamental right and can be curtailed only in exceptional circumstances.
