Dungarpur : Dungarpur Thieves targeted a house in Bhasaur and stole gold and silver jewelery worth lakhs. According to the information, Jaya Patidar’s wife Jagdish Patidar Bhasaur told in the report given at Sagwara police station that she had accompanied her relative to Sagwara Government Hospital on medical emergency. The next day at 6 am, brother-in-law Ramanlal informed through mobile that the locks of his house were broken and all the stuff was scattered in the house. When brother Hemendra Kewalji reached Bhasaur home with Patidar Mandav, all the locks and cupboards were broken. The stuff was scattered. The thieves stole earrings, a gold chain, a gold mangalsutra, two pairs of silver anklets, a silver shoe and the cash kept in the cupboard. After the report, Sagwara police reached the spot and inspected.
Demand to install cameras
Angered by the incident of theft, the villagers have demanded from the Gram Panchayat to install CCTV cameras at every intersection and important places. Local Mukesh Joshi says that if CCTV cameras had been installed in the village, there would have been a possibility of the theft being exposed, but due to no system in place, information about the miscreants could not be found. Nithauwa police has detained a dumper illegally filled with quartz stones. Police said that a dumper filled with quartz is being driven illegally on Patanpura Devpura road. Inquired about whether the driver had valid documents. The driver could not give a satisfactory answer to this.
