Theme and logo unveiled for ‘Spring Festival Gala – 2025’

Beijing, November 29 (IANS). China Media Group (CMG) unveiled the theme and logo for ‘Spring Festival Gala – 2025’. The gala will be broadcast on the eve of the Spring Festival, the most important traditional holiday in China, and aims to celebrate with Chinese communities around the world.

According to the Chinese traditional calendar, 2025 is the Year of the Snake. This time the theme of the gala is ‘Comfortable and lively in the year of the snake’. The Gala logo features two Chinese characters, ‘C’, displayed together in an artistic manner.

In ancient Chinese culture, ‘Si’ symbolizes the release of positive energy while hiding negative energy. Additionally, the logo is designed to resemble the Chinese decorative object ‘Ru Yi’, a traditional symbol of good luck in China.

The design brings good wishes to both home and country and reflects the vibrant spirit of the Chinese nation.
