Dausa : A memorandum was submitted to the Bandikui MLA in the name of the Chief Minister demanding to make Bandikui town of Rajasthan a district. In the memorandum, former nominated councilor Vinesh Kumar Verma said that for the last 31 years, various organizations have been demanding from the state government to declare the subdivision headquarters Bandikui as a district. In which a hunger strike was also done last year.
Why should Bandikui be made a district?
Sub-divisional officer Bandikui and district collector Dausa had also sent a proposal to the committee constituted under the chairmanship of retired IAS Ramlubhaya for the reorganization of new districts in the state, regarding making Bandikui a district, citing geographical, economic, population, road and rail traffic at administrative level.
During its tenure, the Gehlot government of Rajasthan created 17 districts and 3 new divisions in the state on the basis of the recommendation of retired IAS Ramlubhaya Committee. Now the BJP government is in power in Rajasthan. In such a situation, a cabinet sub-committee has been formed to review the new districts. This committee is investigating whether the new districts were recommended under any political pressure. Where was the actual need to create a district? How much area was required to create a new district? What benefit was the public going to get from this?
