There is a need to immediately stop the atrocities against Hindus in Bangladesh: Acharya Pawan Tripathi

Mumbai, December 2 (IANS). A delegation led by Acharya Pawan Tripathi met the Deputy High Commissioner of Bangladesh and raised with him the issue of attacks on Hindus there. Acharya Pawan Tripathi had a special conversation with IANS regarding this topic.

He said, “Our delegation recently met Bangladesh Deputy High Commissioner Ranjan Chowdhury. Our delegation in this meeting included Surdas ji, Niranjan ji and I. We expressed serious concern about the atrocities being committed on Hindus in Bangladesh. We told that the houses of Hindus are being burnt there, they are being murdered, and they are being treated inhumanely. These atrocities need to stop immediately.”

He said, “Apart from this, we also told that one of our saints there has been arrested, who has been put in jail without any concrete reason. We requested him to release him as soon as possible. The Deputy High Commissioner of Bangladesh listened to our views seriously and assured that he would talk to the government in Dhaka and try to stop the atrocities against the Hindu community.

Along with this, he also said that he will try his best for the release of that saint.

He said, “We made it clear that if atrocities on Hindus do not stop in Bangladesh, we will hold a massive agitation here. We all also said that this fundamentalist mentality should not be limited to just Bangladesh or Pakistan, but this kind of thinking should be stopped from spreading in our country also. This fundamentalist thinking gives rise to conspiracies against Hindus and other minorities, as is being seen in Bangladesh.”

He said, “We also said that the vision of our Prime Minister Narendra Modi inspires us to remain united. “Only together can we keep our society safe and raise a strong voice against such atrocities.”
