In the last 24 hours, rain with thunder has been recorded at some places in western Rajasthan and eastern Rajasthan. Heavy rain has been recorded at some places in Dausa, Sikar, Sawaimadhopur, Bharatpur, Kota, Jhalawar and Baran districts. 93.0 mm rain has been recorded in Mitrapura of Sawaimadhopur and 39.0 mm rain has been recorded in Osian of Churu. 0.4 mm rain was recorded in Ajmer, 25.1 in Pilani, 15.4 in Jodhpur, 14 in Dholpur, 26 mm rain was recorded in Mount Abu.
According to the Jaipur Meteorological Center, the depression over Uttar Pradesh has weakened. Due to this, there is a possibility of relief in heavy rain activities in most parts. During September 17, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain at some places in eastern Rajasthan and the weather is likely to remain mainly dry in most parts. In most parts of Jodhpur, Bikaner division, the weather is likely to remain mainly dry for the next 4-5 days and only light rain is likely at some places. According to the Meteorological Center Jaipur, the rainfall in Rajasthan in this monsoon season has broken the record of the last 49 years. This time, Rajasthan has received more than 664 mm of rain so far, which is 61 percent more than normal. Earlier, in the year 1975, 665 mm of rain was recorded in the monsoon season.
