Rajasthan : Heavy rains are continuing once again in Rajasthan. Due to rain in Banswara, the Banswara-Udaipur State Highway is closed. At the same time, the Kota-Sheopur road is blocked due to the overflowing of the Parvati river. Due to this, Rajasthan’s contact with Madhya Pradesh has been cut off for the second consecutive day. Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department has issued a red alert for very heavy rain in 5 districts of the state today. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of heavy rain in Banswara, Dungarpur, Sirohi, Udaipur and Jalore in the next two days.
Heavy rains have been continuing in Banswara district for the past two days. In such a situation, the rivers and streams are in full swing. Torrential rains in the Gangar Talai area of Banswara district have affected life. Many villages have lost contact with each other. Villagers are facing a lot of problems due to water flowing on the bridges of roads. Due to rain, the water level of Mahi Dam reached 277 meters in just 2 days. While its total filling capacity is 281.50 meters. At the same time, water drainage has been started by opening the gates of Kagdi Band and Sarvania. Due to this, low lying areas have been flooded.
Highest rainfall occurred in Dausa
In the last 24 hours on Sunday, Udaipur, Dholpur, Banswara, Pratapgarh, Kota, Baran, Ajmer, Bhilwara, Jaipur, Tik and Jalore districts received heavy rainfall. Very heavy rainfall was recorded in Dausa, Sawai Madhopur and Sirohi. Dausa received the highest rainfall of six inches in eastern Rajasthan. Similarly, Ajmer received four and a quarter inches of rain. Due to this the city got submerged.
Rain alert in these districts today
The Meteorological Department has issued a red alert for extremely heavy rain in Banswara, Dungarpur, Sirohi, Udaipur and Jalore today. At the same time, an orange alert for extremely heavy rain has been issued in Chittorgarh, Pratapgarh, Rajsamand, Barmer and Pali. Apart from this, there is a yellow alert in Ajmer, Alwar, Baran, Bharatpur, Bhilwara, Bundi, Dausa, Dholpur, Jaipur, Jhalawar, Jhunjhunu, Karauli, Kota, Sawai Madhopur, Sikar, Tonk, Bikaner, Churu, Jaisalmer, Jodhpur and Nagaur today.
