Similarly, in Rajasthan too, there is so much fear of a cannibal that today again it has taken the life of a woman. In Udaipur district of Rajasthan, a leopard dragged a woman passing by the road into the forest and devoured her in no time. When the family members went to the forest in large numbers, the woman’s head and some parts of the body were found there in a bad condition. The flesh had been torn off from them. After the incident, the family members and the society blocked the highway and started raising slogans.
Actually, three women were collecting wood for fuel on the National Highway near the forests in Jhadol police station area of Udaipur. During the incident this morning, 40-year-old Mirabai went near the forest while collecting wood. A leopard sitting in ambush grabbed Mirabai by the throat and dragged her into the forest.
The villagers demanded 51 lakh rupees
After the leopard attacked, the other two women reached the town and raised an alarm, then the family members and others went towards the forest. But by then the leopard had killed Mirabai and eaten most of her flesh. After the incident, the villagers have blocked National Highway 58 passing through Jhadol police station area. They say that the government should give Rs 51 lakh as aid to the family and a dependent should be given a government job.
Rajasthan government gives compensation of 5 lakhs
It is noteworthy that these days, due to heavy rains in Rajasthan, the forest area has become completely dense. In such a situation, leopards and other wild animals are hunting people passing by by laying ambush. If any person dies in a wild animal attack, the Rajasthan government gives him a compensation of Rs 5 lakh.
