Bharatpur News Desk: A scuffle broke out between the patient’s family and the hospital staff in a private hospital in Bharatpur. After an altercation with the patient’s family, the hospital staff beat him with sticks. The patient’s family suffered injuries and a finger on his hand was broken. The family members were demanding that the patient be discharged from the hospital, but the hospital staff refused. After which there was an uproar in the hospital. This case pertains to the private hospital SGN located in Mathura Gate police station area of Bharatpur city. A case of assault has been registered against several hospital employees at Mathura Gate police station.
When the patient asked for leave, the staff started procrastinating
Banwari, a resident of Chiksana police station area, reported in the police station that his sister, 46-year-old Guddi Devi, is a resident of Agra. He was admitted to the district RBM hospital due to brain problem. After this, on Tuesday, October 1, in the afternoon, he was admitted to SGN Hospital located at Saras Square. Where he was undergoing treatment in ICU. When there was no improvement in the patient’s health, the family demanded discharge of the patient. But the hospital staff started procrastinating. There was an altercation between both the parties regarding this matter. The matter escalated to such an extent that 20 to 25 employees of the hospital beat him with sticks.
Woman works as a laborer, when she fell ill, son took loan for treatment
The hospital administration also collected about Rs 30 thousand from the patient’s family. The victim’s side alleges that the hospital was neither discharging the patient nor returning the money. Patient Guddi Devi is a widow and was working hard to support her family. He has three daughters and one son, out of which one daughter is married. Apart from the woman, there is no earning member in the house. When she fell ill, her son took a loan and raised money for his mother’s treatment.
When the family reached the post, the policeman chased them away
When the victim reached the police post located at Saras Chauraha with a complaint, the post staff also refused to register the case. On repeated complaints, the outpost staff advised the family members to take care of the patient and sent them away. After this, the victim reached Mathura Gate police station and lodged a report. Police station in-charge Karan Singh Rathod said that a case of assault has been registered against the hospital staff. The matter will be investigated and action will be taken against the accused.
