There was a stir in Rajasthan after the death due to dangerous Zika virus, now waiting for the report from Pune.

Jaipur : The medical department has issued an alert after the death of a person suffering from Zika virus in Bajaj Nagar, Jaipur. Public Health Director Dr. Ravi Prakash Mathur issued guidelines in this regard. He said that the 66-year-old man, a resident of Bajaj Nagar, died due to hemophagocytosis lipohistiocytosis (HLA), hypertension and hepatitis. After Zika virus was confirmed in the investigation, the medical department has taken this matter seriously. Dr. Mathur also clarified that the death of the patient who tested positive for Zika virus was not related to Zika symptoms. His sample has been sent to the National Institute of Virology, Pune to find out the cause of death.

CMHO Dr. Vijay Faujdar said that 66-year-old Rajendra was admitted to a private hospital located on JLN Marg in Jaipur on November 20 after suffering from fever. Here the doctors got him examined and he was found Zika virus positive. Apart from this, this patient has also got hypertension, hepatitis and HLH. Rajendra died after three days of treatment.
