Tonk : Villagers came out in protest against the stone mines which started on Monday in Sindholia village under Lambaharisingh police station of Malpura subdivision. They first opposed the lease holder. Later, when the police arrived for security, they pelted stones at them. In this, more than a dozen policemen and villagers including Malpura’s Additional Superintendent of Police Ramkumar Kaswan were injured. The injured were admitted to Malpura Hospital. The matter was pacified by calling a contingent of other police stations in Sindholia. After this, Sindholia village turned into a police camp. Later, Superintendent of Police Sanjeev Nain reached the spot and inquired about the matter. The Mineral Department had issued a lease for mining in the land of the account holder in the hills of Sindholia Mataji in Sindholia village. A stay order was obtained from the court regarding this lease. The lease holder had reached the spot on Monday with a plan to start mining work in this mine after getting the stay order issued by the court dismissed. They were trying to start mining work. The police have registered a case against the villagers for obstructing government work and pelting stones at the police and have started investigation. During the stone pelting, the glass panes of police vehicles were broken.
That’s why the villagers were protesting
According to the information, the villagers used the foothills of the hill of Sindholia Mataji temple for grazing their animals. Regarding this, the villagers had protested as soon as the lease was done and had obtained a stay order from the court. But after getting the information that the stay order was rejected by the court, there was a lot of anger among the villagers.
These people got injured
ASP Ramkumar Kaswan, Head Constable Kailashchand, besides lease holder’s employees Rakesh son of Bhairuram, Devraj son of Shivkaran Jat, Arjun son of Mevaraj Jat, Anil son of Bhagirath Jat, Hariram son of Govindram, Shriram son of Gumanmal Jat, Ramdhan son of Mangilal and villagers were injured due to stone pelting in Sindholia village.
