Dausa : Rajasthan A family residing in Shriram Vatika Colony on Lalsot Road in Dausa city received the news of the death of their beloved son who was missing for 22 days on the day of Janmashtami. The family could not even have the last glimpse of the body, as only a skeleton was found. This heart-wrenching incident brought a mountain of sorrows on the family. Police Circle Officer Raviprakash Sharma said that on August 4, the family had lodged a complaint in the Kotwali police station about the disappearance of Nikki Bairwa (13), son of Anil Bairwa, who lived in Shriram Vatika. Investigation of CCTV footage revealed that three children had gone on a bicycle, but only two children returned. On this, when the police interrogated both the children, it was found that all three including Nikki had gone to Daglav pond, but Nikki drowned in the water. Both the children got scared due to this and they did not tell anyone about this incident. When the police came to know about this on Sunday, the search operation was started by immediately calling the SDRF team in Daglav pond. On the second day
On Monday, a male skeleton was found among the bushes in the pond.
The police station in-charge said that prima facie it seems that some animal or bird ate the body, due to which only bones are left. Nikki’s friends have also said that she drowned in the pond. The family has also identified the body on the basis of the clothes. DNA sample will be taken and sent for report, so that it can be officially confirmed. The family cremated the skeleton assuming it to be Nikki’s.
