Jaipur : 14th November has been declared a holiday due to the famous Pushkar fair of Rajasthan. This holiday will be in Ajmer district. The District Collector has announced this holiday under local holiday. At present the world famous Pushkar fair is going on. The number of animals in the fair is also continuously increasing. Animal fair is being organized for years in Pushkar, about 15 kilometers away from Ajmer. The fair will continue till 17th November. Camels and horses come to this fair in large numbers. People decorate their camels and bring them to the fair. Many competitions are also organized in this fair by the Government of Rajasthan. Now the district administration has declared 14th November as a local holiday for this fair.
Livestock traders running horses and camels
The arrival of animals has started increasing in the fair grounds of Pushkar. According to the data recorded by the Animal Husbandry Department, 145 camel offspring and 233 horse offspring from different places of the state reached the fair grounds on Tuesday. Similarly, 123 horse lineages came from outside Rajasthan. Till now, 607 animals of camel lineage and 1045 animals of horse lineage have arrived at the fair ground. The arrival of animals in the fair ground is increasing. Lines of horses have started forming in the field. The cattle rearing traders who have come to the dhors are running the horses and camels. Shopping has also started.
