Mumbai, November 22 (IANS). Nationalist Congress Party (Sharadchandra Pawar) leader and spokesperson Clyde Crasto spoke to IANS on Friday. He has given his reaction on the exit poll that came after the completion of Maharashtra Assembly elections.
NCP (SP) spokesperson said that exit polls will always prove to be correct, it does not happen. The decision taken by the public during voting is what comes out on the day of results. This time there has been more than 65 percent voting. History is witness to the fact that whenever there is massive voting, change definitely happens. The people of Maharashtra have decided that they do not like the Mahayuti government. The public has started preparations to form the government of Maha Vikas Aghadi.
Mahayuti claims that their government is being formed again. Around 160 MLAs will emerge victorious. On this Clyde Crasto said that it is a good thing to make a claim. But what we know is that the people have made up their mind that there will be change in Maharashtra. You must have seen it in the Lok Sabha elections 2024. Here, out of 48 seats, Maha Vikas Aghadi got 41 seats. Maharashtra Assembly elections have been completed and I can say with confidence that Maha Vikas Aghadi government will be formed here.
When asked how many seats Mahavikas Aghadi is winning, he said that they are winning a lot of seats. There will be more seats than required for majority.
When asked about the fear of ‘Operation Lotus’, the NCP (SP) leader said that BJP keeps doing its work through Operation Lotus. We are cautious and will see what happens next.
In Delhi, Aam Aadmi Party has started ‘Discussion on Rewari’. The NCP (SP) leader said that elections have a dignity, we should work according to that dignity. Use of such words is not correct.
On who will be the face of the Chief Minister, if Maha Vikas Aghadi comes in majority, he has said that there is no dispute regarding the face of the Chief Minister. News is shown on TV channels to increase TRP. We all have contested elections together and we have many leaders who can serve the people of Maharashtra. This will be discussed after the results come. I can tell the people of Maharashtra with confidence that we will give them a good leadership and a good leader.
