Sirohi : Heavy rain alert has been issued in Rajasthan. On Monday, some places in Alwar, Sikar, Ajmer and Nagaur districts witnessed heavy rain. While very heavy rain was recorded in Jaipur district. Talking about the last 24 hours, Jaipur recorded the highest rainfall of about 5 inches. Similarly, Nasirabad received 4 inches of rain. 2.88 inches of rain was recorded in Nawan of Nagaur and 2.56 inches of rain was recorded in Sikar. Apart from this, 3 inches of rain was recorded in Thanagazi of Alwar. According to the Weather Center, Jaipur, currently the low pressure area in the Bay of Bengal adjoining Andhra Pradesh, South Odisha has intensified and has formed a depression system.

Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department has issued a major rain alert in the state within the next 2 hours. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a strong possibility of moderate to heavy rain in Chittorgarh, Rajsamand, Sirohi, Dungarpur, Udaipur, Banswara, Kota, Bhilwara and Sriganganagar and heavy rain at some places. The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for these districts. At the same time, the department has predicted light to moderate rain at some places in Jaipur, Dausa, Alwar, Bharatpur, Dholpur, Ajmer, Jaisalmer, Bikaner, Jodhpur, Pali, Barmer, Hanumangarh, Baran, Bundi, Pratapgarh and Jhalawar districts. The department has issued a yellow alert for these districts.
