Jaipur : Heavy rain is continuing in many districts of Rajasthan. Rain started in many places from Sunday night and continued till Monday evening. During this time, the maximum rainfall of 6 inches was recorded in Kishanganj. After this, 3 inches of rain fell in Mangrol and 3 inches in Baran. The maximum rainfall of 136 mm occurred in Kishanganj in the last 24 hours. Rain started in the city from 4 am on Sunday with heavy thunder which continued till morning. The thunder of the clouds was so loud that not only people lost their sleep, but many electrical equipment also got damaged. Due to the rain, many rivers and streams of the district were in spate once again.
‘Double yellow alert’ in these districts today
The Meteorological Department has issued a double yellow alert in the districts for today, September 10. While issuing the alert, heavy rains with thunder and lightning have been predicted in Banswara, Baran, Bhilwara, Bundi, Chittorgarh, Dholpur, Dungarpur, Jaipur, Jhalawar, Karauli, Kota, Pratapgarh, Rajsamand, Sawai Madhopur, Tonk and Udaipur. At the same time, thunder and lightning have been predicted in Ajmer, Alwar, Bharatpur, Dausa, Jhunjhunu, Sikar, Sirohi, Jalore, Jodhpur, Nagaur and Pali.
