Rajasthan : continuous rain continues in the state. Heavy rains in eastern Rajasthan are flooding the districts. Heavy rainfall was recorded at some places in Bharatpur and Dausa districts in the state on Monday. The highest rainfall in eastern Rajasthan was recorded in Bandikui in Dausa at 91 mm, Sikrai at 76 mm, Bhusawar in Bharatpur at 91 mm. Apart from this, 38 mm rainfall was recorded in Chhatargarh of Bikaner in western Rajasthan. Rains started in the capital Jaipur after 3 pm. The city roads were flooded due to rain for about half an hour. 40 mm rainfall was recorded in Jaipur in the last 24 hours till 5 pm at Sanganer Airport.
According to Weather Centre Director Radheshyam Sharma, a circulation system is formed over north-eastern Rajasthan. The monsoon trough line is passing through Jaisalmer, Chittorgarh. Due to its effect, there is a strong possibility of rain with thunder in some parts of Jodhpur, Udaipur, Kota, Jaipur, Ajmer and Bikaner divisions in the next two-three days. Similarly, on 9-10 July also, moderate to heavy rain is likely to continue in some parts of Jodhpur, Udaipur and Kota divisions. Heavy rain may occur in Udaipur division.
Yellow Alert
According to the Meteorological Department, a yellow alert has been issued today on Tuesday, predicting heavy rains in Pali, Sirohi, Udaipur, Banswara and surrounding districts.
