Heavy rain started in the capital Jaipur from around 2 pm on Wednesday. Roads were flooded in areas like Malviya Nagar, Bajaj Nagar, Tonk Phatak, 22 Godown, and JLN Marg. Traffic was affected due to waterlogging on the roads and people had to face a lot of trouble.

The weather suddenly changed in Jodhpur in the afternoon. At around 3 pm, heavy rain started in the inner areas of the city like Khanda Falsa and Jal Jog Chauraha area. The intensity of the rain was so high that water started flowing like a river on the roads.
Heavy rains also wreaked havoc in Kota and Chittorgarh. Heavy rains occurred in Kota around 3 pm, which led to waterlogging in the lower areas of the city. On the other hand, in Chittorgarh, after the strong sunlight and humidity in the morning, rains started at 3:15 pm, which gave some relief to the people.

Today, a low pressure area is formed over northern Bangladesh and surrounding areas and the monsoon trough line is passing through Sri Ganganagar, Rohtak. Due to the effect of the above system, there is a strong possibility of monsoon being active in many parts of eastern Rajasthan for the next one week. During this time, there is a possibility of moderate to sometimes heavy rain with thunder in some parts of Bharatpur, Jaipur, Ajmer, Kota, Udaipur divisions. There is a possibility of heavy rain at some places in the districts of Kota, Udaipur and Jaipur divisions for the next 5-6 days.
There is a strong possibility of heavy rain activities increasing in some parts of Kota, Udaipur divisions of southern and eastern Rajasthan during 25-26 August and very heavy rain at some places. There is a possibility of light to moderate rain at some places with thundershowers in some parts of Jodhpur and Bikaner divisions of western Rajasthan for the next two-three days. There is a possibility of moderate to heavy rain at some places in some parts of Jodhpur division during 24 to 26 August, light to moderate rain is likely at sporadic places in some parts of Bikaner division.
