Barmer : Chief Government Secretary T. Ravikant visited the HPCL Rajasthan Refinery project being built at Pachpadra in Balotra district in Rajasthan on Thursday. This scheme is of HPCL, a joint venture company of Rajasthan Government. About 90 to 98 percent of the work of this scheme has been completed. After its complete construction, it will provide new employment to the youth because the annual capacity of this refinery is 9 million tonnes. This scheme will boost the industrial and economic development of the state which will also increase the revenue of the state.
9 million tons annual capacity
T. Ravikant said that apart from Rajasthan Refinery being a dream project of the state government, it will add to the industrial and economic development of the state. The work on the state-of-the-art BS-6 standard Rajasthan Refinery of 9 million tonne annual capacity at Pachpadra Barmer by HPCL Rajasthan Refinery Limited (HRRL), a joint venture company of HPCL and the Government of Rajasthan, has accelerated. He said that about 94 percent work of Crude/Vacuum Distillation Unit and Delayed Cocker Unit, more than 98 percent work of Hydrogen Generation Unit and Diesel Hydrogen Unit and more than 94 percent work of VGO-HDT Unit etc. has been done.
The scheme will increase employment and revenue
The Secretary further said that Rajasthan Refinery cum Petrochemical Complex will bring investment in the field of petrochemical products like petrol and diesel and co-products like poly propylene, butadiene, LLDPE, HDPE, benzene and toluene etc. This will increase employment and revenue along with industrial investment.
