Jaipur : 19 new districts and three divisions were formed in Rajasthan by the previous government. Which former CM Ashok Gehlot termed as the need of the hour. He said that the area of Rajasthan is very large, in such a situation, people have to go to the district for health and administrative work. For which a very long distance has to be covered. At the same time, after the change of government in the state, the clouds of crisis started looming over the new districts. Bhajanlal Sarkar believes that the previous government took this decision in a hurry. Due to which many flaws remained during the formation of these districts. For which the government has formed a committee. However, there is still a state of doubt regarding the new districts.
High level committee constituted
Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma had approved the formation of a committee headed by former Indian Administrative Service officer Lalit K. Panwar. This high-level expert committee will submit its report to Deputy CM Premchand Bairwa. Recently, the committee’s convenor and Deputy Chief Minister Premchand Bairwa has asked the committee constituted under the chairmanship of Panwar to review the recommendations made for the formation of new districts and submit a report within 15 days. Earlier, the Bhajanlal government had constituted a subcommittee under the leadership of Deputy Chief Minister Premchand Bairwa to review the new districts. It includes Public Health Engineering Minister Kanhaiyalal Choudhary, Revenue Minister Hemant Meena.
Deputy CM asked for report in 15 days
Talking to the media after the meeting, Bairwa said that the recommendation of new districts was not made under any political pressure. Where was the actual need to create a district and how much area was required for it. What benefit was the public going to get from this. Keeping all these things in mind, the government is doing its work. Ministers Hemant Meena and Kanhaiyalal Chaudhary were also present in the meeting.
Crisis looms over these 19 districts
Those new districts which do not fit the scale in terms of demarcation and population may face action. These include Anupgarh, Balotra, Beawar, Deeg, Didwana-Kuchaman, Dudu, Phalodi, Gangapur City, Jaipur City, Jaipur Rural, Jodhpur City, Jodhpur Rural, Kekri, Kotputli-Bahror, Khairthal-Tijara, Neemkathana, Salumber, Sanchore, Shahpura (Bhilwara).
