These two heroes of Rajasthan were awarded the Shaurya Chakra posthumously, know the story of their bravery

Jaipur : President Draupadi Murmu on Friday conferred 10 Kirti Chakra (seven posthumously) and 26 Shaurya Chakra (seven posthumously) awards. In which two brave martyrs of Rajasthan, Major Mustafa Bohra and Major Vikas Bhambhu have also been awarded the Shaurya Chakra posthumously. In a program organized at Rashtrapati Bhavan, the Shaurya Chakras were awarded to the families of both the brave martyrs. Major Vikas Bhambhu of 252 Army Aviation Squadron and his co-pilot Major Mustafa Bohra were on a reconnaissance mission on a helicopter in the border area in Arunachal Pradesh on 21 October 2022. At around 10:30 in the morning, both of them were returning after completing the mission, during this time the helicopter caught fire about 20 kilometers away from the border. Even after the helicopter caught fire, both the heroes showed courage. Taking care of the lives of the common people, they took the helicopter away. Due to which the helicopter crash landed. In this accident, Major Vikas Bhambhu and Major Mustafa Bohra both were martyred. Both the brave soldiers sacrificed their lives for the country while following the highest traditions of the Indian Army.

Biography of Martyr Major Bhambhu

Martyr Major Vikas Bhambhu, a resident of Rampura village in Hanumangarh district of Rajasthan, after getting his primary education from the village itself, went to Sikar with his father. Where his father was working in the cooperative department. Vikas gave the NDA exam along with the 12th examination. After being selected in which, he joined the Indian Army as a lieutenant. Major Vikas successfully completed the task and mission while in the Indian Army. Also, Major Vikas was the topper in all the internal courses he did. After which, seeing his consistently excellent performance in the army, it was decided to make him a pilot in the aviation branch. Before saying goodbye to the world in 2022, he was preparing to live with his family but perhaps this was not in his fate. In 2019, he built a house but before living there, he was martyred in a helicopter crash 3 years later.

Biography of Martyr Major Mustafa

Martyr Major Mustafa Bohra was born in Ajanta Gali of Hathipol area of ​​Udaipur. Where he was martyred in a helicopter crash during an intelligence surveillance mission on the border area in Arunachal Pradesh on 21 October 2022. Before this news, the family members were busy preparing to decorate the Sehra on Mustafa’s head. His Nikaah was going to take place with great pomp. But who knew that now he would return home wrapped in the tricolor.
Major Mustafa’s mother Fatima Bohra says that it is a matter of pride for me and the entire Mewar Rajasthan that martyr Mustafa has been awarded the Shaurya Chakra. This is the moment for which the mothers of such brave men are always ready that their son will sacrifice his life for the country at any time.
