Jaipur : Jaipur Under the Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana (PMMVY), pregnant women with disabilities will be given Rs 10,000 from September 1 instead of the current Rs 6500 being given for the first child. Deputy Chief Minister and Women and Child Development Minister Diya Kumari said that disabled women can get more nutritious food during pregnancy and after the birth of the child. For this, the amount has been increased to Rs 10,000. Along with this, incentives are being given to ensure better health of the mother and child and vaccination. An additional amount of Rs 3500 will be given through DBT from Rajasthan Fund. Apart from this, ‘National Nutrition Month 2024’ has been organized from September 1.

Director Integrated Child Development Services OP Bunkar said that under the scheme, the first installment of Rs. 3000 was earlier given on registration at Anganwadi Centre and pre-natal health checkup. Which has been increased to Rs. 4000. The second installment of Rs. 1500 received on the birth of the child has been increased to Rs. 3000.
The third installment of Rs 2000 for registration of birth of the child and completion of all the vaccines up to the age of 14 weeks on the first stage of complete vaccination has been increased from Rs 2000 to Rs 3000. Rs 3500 is payable to such women who are partially (40 percent) or completely disabled. They will be given the said amount through DBT.
