Jaipur : news from Khatipura area located near Vaishali Nagar area of the capital Jaipur. Preparations have been started to demolish a large part of 274 shops in Khatipura simultaneously. This morning, when police and JDA officials from several police stations arrived to put red marks on shops, there was an uproar. Later, when the dispute escalated, additional police force was called. Now the situation has become tense. The market has been closed and protests have been started. Amidst this incident, at around 10.30 in the morning, MLA Gopal Sharma also arrived to talk to the traders.

Khatipura Trade Board President Bhavani Singh Rathod said that our shops are from the year 1980. At that time JDA was not formed. Our shops are so old, yet rules have not been made according to them. Now our shops are being ruined in the new road map that has been made. We are also ready for this. Recently, on 21st, the High Court’s order has come that the road should be widened to thirty meters. Whereas JDA people are preparing to break it by 48 meters. Accordingly, red marks are being marked. Whereas this is wrong. We will not let this happen, no matter what.
