Jaipur : Office Att. The team of Deputy Commissioner of Police Jaipur East and Bajaj Nagar police station arrested four vicious vehicle thieves on Thursday. Police have recovered a stolen car and 18 bikes from their possession. The accused also kept a mechanic with him in the gang who used to change parts of stolen vehicles. ADC Asharam Chaudhary said that Vishram alias Rajkumar Meena (32), resident of Jayanti Nagar Agra Road, Chetram Meena (29), Shailesh Meena (21), resident of Khaniya Bandha Khoh Nagoriyan and Mohan Bairwa (21), resident of Jagatpura, have been arrested. Kingpin Vishram is a notorious vehicle thief. There are 37 criminal cases registered against him for vehicle theft.
Vehicle thefts for liquor smack
Police interrogation revealed that the gang members are addicted to drinking alcohol and smack. The accused used to steal the vehicle and give it to mechanic Mohan Bairwa to get intoxicated. Mohan used to take out parts of the stolen bike. The gang members used to fulfill their hobbies by selling those parts at low prices. The accused have confessed to stealing several vehicles from Malviya Nagar, Jawahar Circle, Khoh Nagoriyan, Bajaj Nagar, Shiprapath, Vidhayakpuri, Shivdaspura, Dausa Kotwali and other areas.
Were trying to sell a car without number
Extreme. Deputy Commissioner of Police, Jaipur East, constable Rohitash had received information that Vishram was roaming around on Kanota Road with his associates trying to sell a numberless car. Police reached the spot and interrogated the youth sitting in the numberless car. The car was reported stolen from Bajaj Nagar area last month and they were planning to sell it.
