Kota : National Testing Agency NTA New Delhi has changed the pattern of engineering entrance exam JEE-Main. JEE-Main 2025 will now be conducted on the new exam pattern. Education expert Dev Sharma said that now there will be only five questions in Section-B of the question paper of each subject in the JEE-Main entrance exam, all questions will be mandatory.
Earlier, there were 10 questions in Section-B and students had to solve any 5 questions. Sharma said that according to the notification issued by the agency, the changes made in the examination pattern in the interest of students during Covid-19 have been abolished and it has been decided to conduct the examination again on the original pattern.
The paper pattern will now be like this
In the question paper, 25 questions will be asked from each subject of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. The question paper of each subject will be divided into two sections. Section-A will have 20 questions and Section-B will have 5 questions, which will be integer type. It will be mandatory to solve all the questions of Section-A and Section-B. Now there will be a total of 75 questions in the question paper of JEE-Main 2025 and all questions will be compulsory. The marking pattern will be 4/-1 and the number will be 300.

With no options in the question paper of JEE-Main entrance exam, it will be more difficult for students to score than before. Sharma said that prima facie there will definitely be a reduction in the qualifying cutoff of JEE-Advanced under JEE-Main.
