Jodhpur : A new tourist spot is being developed at a cost of Rs 4.5 crore, about 18 km away from Jodhpur city. The Amrit Sarovar of Banad is being developed as a new tourist destination by the Zila Parishad. Boats will be run in Amrit Sarovar from Diwali. Actually, Banad pond is being developed as Amrit Sarovar by the Zila Parishad. So far, work worth Rs 1 crore 22 lakh has been done here. The entire project will be prepared in three phases. In the first phase, jogging track, plants and garden along with other facilities are being developed.

Amrit Sarovar is spread over one kilometer

Jodhpur’s Amrit Sarovar is spread over an area of ​​one kilometer. There is a plan to run boats here till Diwali. Along with this, many facilities like food court, jogging track, kids zone, yoga area and meditation platform are being developed. In the first phase, money has been spent from the quota of State Finance Commission, MNREGA, Rajya Sabha MP Rajendra Gehlot and Swachh Bharat Mission in the one kilometer area of ​​the Sarovar.

After preparation, the proposal will be given to JDA

Recently, Collector Gaurav Agarwal visited here along with District Council CEO Dr. Dheeraj Kumar Singh. Dr. Singh has proposed to the Collector to hand over the lake to JDA after it is ready. The Collector has also agreed to this. Dr. Singh said that this will give a fixed income to Banad Panchayat.

These facilities will be developed

Jogging track, theme park, fair space, open theatre, yoga area, urban haat, bird feeding area, plantation area, water bridge, light poles, shops and food stalls will also be developed in Amrit Sarovar. Apart from this, facilities like selfie point and fountain will also be developed.

Planting more than 20 thousand plants

More than 20 thousand plants of different types are being planted on the banks of the lake. A garden is being developed near the lake. With its construction, people of the city and the surrounding villages will get a new place to roam around.
