The irrigation department started installing sheesham embankments on the culvert. Farmers protested against this under the leadership of Bhavi village’s sarpanch Suraram Sirvi. The farmers reached the subdivision office. When the subdivision officer got information about the installation of the embankment, he immediately informed the district collector. The collector reprimanded the superintending engineer and instructed not to install embankments on the dam’s culvert and got the embankments removed. The Jaswantsagar dam has been filled to its full capacity. After the water gauge reached 26.50 feet, water started flowing out from one part. The villagers, elated by this, celebrated by singing and dancing.
