Jaipur : Former Rajasthan BJP MLA Amrita Meghwal has lodged a complaint with Jaipur Police about receiving death threats and obscene messages on WhatsApp. He said, “I have been receiving obscene messages for the last few days and have also been given death threats. I have given a report to the Jaipur Police Commissioner.

Sent obscene messages with threats

Meghwal alleged that there was a flood of obscene messages on his WhatsApp. After which a WhatsApp call also came.
Meghwal said, ‘When I called that number again, he started abusing. When I threatened him with a police complaint, he told me of dire consequences. The former MLA has alleged that ‘I will eliminate you like Baba Siddiqui.’

It has been attacked twice before also
He said that he had been receiving such threatening calls in the past too and he had reported the matter to Sodala police station. Amrita Meghwal has been attacked twice in 2021 and 2022 and she had also registered a case regarding this matter at Transport Nagar police station in Jaipur.

Has been MLA twice
Minister Jawahar Singh Bedham has also written a letter to the Police Commissioner demanding immediate action on the matter. Amrita Meghwal (39) has been MLA from Jalore Assembly seat on BJP ticket from 2013 to 2018. He defeated Ramlal of Congress by 46800 votes. In 2018, after her husband Babulal was accused of financial irregularities, the party had canceled Amrita Meghwal’s ticket and given it to Jogeshwar Garg.
