Bikaner : Lord Ganesha is known by many names like Vignaharta, Gajanand, Siddhi Vinayak etc. There are lakhs of temples dedicated to him in our country. There is a Lord Ganesha in a house in Bikaner whose idol is more than a hundred years old and it took 19 years and four months to make that idol. This idol was made by Saint Balaknath. Saint Balak Nath lived in his hut in Bikaner and was a worshipper of Lord Ganesha. The saint received a spiritual order to make the idol of Siddhi Vinayat, but the condition was that it had to be made only during Pushya Nakshatra. This idol is with the priest family living in Dujari Gali of Binnani Chowk in Bikaner.
Use new tools each time
Saint Balaknath started making the idol of Lord Ganesha by following his orders. The saint wanted that this idol should not be like the common idols but should be something different. In such a situation, he decided that white aak wood should be used to make the idol. The saint started it in Pushya Nakshatra and whenever Pushya Nakshatra was in effect, he would start making the idol and would stop the work as soon as it was over. The most special thing was that Saint Balaknath used new tools every time to make the idol. He would not use the tools used in one Yoga of Pushya Nakshatra again. Along with this, living a completely satvik life was also an important condition for this, which he followed.
The priest’s family is full of wealth and prosperity
The Purohit family, which has a special idol of Lord Ganesha, is full of education, culture and wealth. This family considers it to be the blessing of Lord Gajanand. The mistress of the house, Anju Purohit, says that ever since she came here after marriage, she has seen Lord Ganesha being worshipped regularly. With the blessings and grace of God, she has got whatever she asked for. With the grace of Vighnaharta, all her work gets done and Lord Ganesha removes all the troubles and problems before they come.
