New Delhi, December 4 (IANS). This fruit looks like a big red tomato and its name is Ramphal. This is our own hyper local fruit. Don’t even ask about qualities. Sweet to eat, tastes like apple! Fruits are rich in nutrients. Ramphal really works like a panacea for people suffering from diabetes!

While coming out of school, passing by train, at a small station or outside a park, we have seen and heard of some fruits which are not available in big shops or marts because they are hyper local.

Hyper local fruits are those fruits which are eaten with great enthusiasm by people in your own province or city. In the context of India, it is a fruit which does not have an English name and is popular in our region only. Very local fruits which enhance the beauty of our life. Their names are also taken with great love in folk tales, songs and festivals. Ramphal is one such fruit close to the heart which is seen in the market these days.

Ramphal can be beneficial for diabetic patients because it has blood sugar reducing properties. The minerals present in it are useful for pre-diabetes and diabetes patients. Anti-cancer properties are also present. So in this way, diabetic patients can consume Ramphal. According to nutritionists, if diabetic patients consume one fruit daily then the body can remain healthy.

Not only this, many studies have shown that it is also beneficial for skin and hair. That’s because it is rich in Vitamin C, which benefits both skin and hair.
