Actually, during the Hathi festival held in Jodhpur city, this temple was compared to ‘Ishqiya Gajanan’. Young couples are often seen visiting here to get success in love. It is said that during the time of Maharaja Mansingh, the idol of Ganpati was found during the excavation of a pond. After this, it was placed in a horse carriage and installed on a platform built in Juni Mandi. This temple is believed to be about 100 years old. Earlier this temple was known as Guru Ganpati. Gradually, the number of young couples coming here as devotees increased and it was named Ishqiya Gajanan Temple.

Devotees can visit this temple from 5 am to 12 noon and 5.30 pm to 9 pm. However, there is a special crowd of devotees in this temple on Wednesdays. In such a situation, this temple remains open till 11 pm for Bappa’s darshan. The elders of the area tell that in those times there were no facilities like phone and social media. In such a situation, some engaged youth of the inner city used to reach the temple on Wednesday to talk to their fiancĂ©e for a few moments during Ganpati darshan. On the other hand, there is another famous temple in Jodhpur, which is built in Ratanada. Wherever you visit Ganpati Bappa in this temple, you see his unique form. Beautiful idols of Riddhi-Siddhi are installed in the temple along with Ganpati Bappa. Every Wednesday, a huge crowd of devotees flock to this temple for darshan.
