Churu : In Rajasthan the government gives a budget of Rs 27000 crore to the medical department. But even after that the system is not improving. A recent video and such a picture has surfaced which is extremely shameful. Where in a government hospital in Churu district, patients were treated in the dark with the light of mobile torch. When its video went viral on social media, questions started being raised on the condition of health services.
The staff showed the mobile torch and the doctor treated
It can be clearly seen in the video that due to no electricity in the hospital, doctors and health workers are treating patients with the light of their mobile torches. This scene has become a matter of concern for the state government, especially when there is already increased criticism regarding health services.
Congress said – this is a “fail slip government”
After the viral video, Rajasthan Pradesh Congress cornered the state government on this issue and termed it as “failed slip government”. The Congress said the incident highlights the poor condition of the state’s basic health facilities and shows that the state government has completely failed to improve health services. Congress has demanded that a thorough investigation be conducted into this incident and strict action should be taken against the concerned officials.
Ministry asked for report after uproar
The state health department, reacting to the incident, said the power problem at the hospital was temporary and the situation would return to normal soon. However, after the allegations by the opposition parties, the Health Ministry has ordered an investigation into the matter and has also sought a report from the hospital administration.
It seems this will prove costly for the government.
With this video going viral, questions have once again been raised on the condition of health services in government hospitals of Rajasthan, and this can become another challenge for the state government. Lack of necessary resources and poor arrangements in hospitals in many parts of the state have been a topic of discussion earlier also.
