Thousands of cases of women harassment registered in Rajasthan in 6 months, Gehlot seeks answers from Modi-Shah

Jaipur : On a question by Congress MLA Indira Meena regarding harassment of women in Rajasthan, Minister Gajendra Singh said in the Assembly that from January 1, 2024 to June 30, 2024, 20776 cases of harassment of women were registered in the state. At the same time, in the last 6 months, the highest number of 881 cases of crime against women were registered in Alwar and Bharatpur is at second place. Former CM Ashok Gehlot has targeted PM Modi and Home Minister on the increasing cases of harassment of women. Former CM Ashok Gehlot, while targeting the BJP, wrote on Twitter, ‘Prime Minister, who compared the peaceful state of Rajasthan to Manipur for political gain before the assembly elections and Rajasthan BJP leaders who held a press conference in Delhi in support of his argument, remain silent on this horrific information’.

Gehlot targeted Modi-Shah

Gehlot further raised questions and said that seeing the attack on the dignity of women in the rule of BJP which gave the slogan “Rajasthan will not tolerate this”, it seems that the rule of law is coming to an end in the state. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah and Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma should take cognizance of the situation and review it. The people of Rajasthan are seeing what is happening in the rule of BJP which made false allegations during elections.
