Thousands of ration dealers on strike in Rajasthan from today, poor people’s ration in danger

Jaipur : There is a crisis on the distribution of ration wheat to more than 4 crore beneficiaries under the Food Security Scheme in Rajasthan. The ration dealers of the state will be on indefinite strike from Thursday. Vikram Singh Rathore, a member of the State Ration Dealers Struggle Committee, said that the ration dealers have deposited the POS machines at the district level. Wheat will not be distributed until the government accepts the demands.

These demands from the government

More than 27 thousand ration dealers of the state will be on indefinite strike from Thursday for their demands including honorarium of Rs. 30 thousand per month, accepting 2 percent wastage or giving bonus of Rs. 2 thousand per month.
Also, they say that Rajasthan government should also pay the amount of Aadhar seeding, commission for wheat distributed under the Pravasi Yojana and wages for seeding of e-KYC. They have also demanded the removal of orders for door-to-door delivery of ration to elderly and handicapped consumers. The problems of the families under the food security scheme will increase from August 1 due to the ration dealers going on strike.
