Jaipur : On October 4, a threatening email was sent to the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) engaged in the security of Jaipur International Airport. The mail contained a threat to bomb the airport. Similarly, two hotels in Jaipur also received bomb threats. There was a stir in the capital after receiving the threatening e-mail. After which security was tightened and surveillance on suspicious persons was increased. But now the reality of this mail has come to light. When the security agencies investigated, it came to light that this information was false.
“We’ll see…we’ll take on a stronger country.”
Jaipur Airport Police Officer Sandeep Basera said that an unknown person had sent an email to CISF at 2:15 pm on Friday. All the airports of the country were tagged in this email. The officer said that it was written in the email, ‘We will see…we will take on a strong country’. He said that there was no threat in the email to bomb any plane or airport.
Security was tightened as a precaution
The official said that as a precautionary measure, security has been tightened at the airport and suspicious persons are being kept under surveillance. According to Deputy Commissioner of Police (East) Tejaswani Gautam, a threatening email was also sent to two hotels in Jaipur. After which a thorough investigation was done, but no suspicious thing was found, the investigation of the case is going on.
Threats have also been received to blow up railway stations
Even before this, on the evening of Tuesday 1st October, many big railway stations of the state had received bomb threats. After this threat, there was immediate panic among the security agencies. This threat started from Hanumangarh district adjacent to the Punjab and Pakistan border. Where many railway stations of the state including Hanumangarh Junction Railway Station were threatened with bombs.
