Mumbai, December 9 (IANS). Three people died and 17 others were injured in a horrific road accident in Mumbai’s Kurla area on Monday night.
Police said that the accident occurred at 9.50 pm in front of Anjuman-e-Islam School on SG Barve Marg in Kurla (West). An uncontrolled BEST bus collided with several vehicles.
The staff nurse of the nearby Bhabha Hospital said that 20 people were brought there, of which three were declared dead. The treatment of other injured is continuing.
It is being told that 10 people are seriously injured.
After the incident, a crowd of people gathered at the spot. Some injured have also been taken to the hospital in autos. After the accident, traffic was disrupted at the accident site.
Top police officials have reached the spot. However, till the time of writing the news, it is not clear what is the total number of casualties and whether anyone has been taken to any other hospital apart from Bhabha Hospital.
