Kota : Kota Bharatmala Project has constituted a committee of experts to investigate the matter of collapse of the outer portion of the tunnel being built in the Mukundara Tiger Reserve area on the Delhi-Mumbai Atlan Expressway, which reached the spot on Monday and investigated the entire matter. Will investigate. NHAI management has issued a written statement on the entire matter after the accident. It said that the investigation team includes SK Nirmal, DGRD – Road Transport and Highways (Retd), AK Srivastava, ADG – Road Transport and Highways (Retd) and Alok Pandey, M/s Elegant Engineer. The committee will visit the site on Monday to find out the causes of the incident and remedial measures to avoid such incidents in future. NHAI is taking all necessary steps to ensure necessary remedial measures. Steps are being taken to deal with the situation.
A portion 200 meters away from the tunnel collapsed
Project Director Sandeep Aggarwal said that a part of the wall which was being built two hundred meters away from the tunnel has collapsed. There has been no damage of any kind to the tunnel and the work is going on as usual. A part of the vertical wall of the middle side under construction in the cut and cover section outside the tunnel has collapsed in the tunnel. The excavation work of this wall has been done two years ago. Two monsoon seasons passed, but during the work suddenly some part collapsed and then the entire soil part collapsed.
Claim: Workers were equipped with safety equipment
The NHAI team, after inspecting the site, claimed that all the workers were equipped with necessary personal protective equipment. Rescue operations were immediately launched and four workers were rescued from the debris. One employee was seriously injured and died 45 minutes after the incident.
