Rajasthan : Due to the activity of monsoon in Rajasthan, rain continued in many parts on Friday. Three people including a girl died in an accident after rain in Bikaner, while three youths trapped in the flow of water while crossing a drain in Tonk have been rescued safely. According to the spokesperson of Jaipur Meteorological Center, light to moderate rain was recorded in many districts including Jaipur, Tonk, Sawai Madhopur, Kota, Chittorgarh, Jhunjhunu, Alwar, Udaipur, Jodhpur on Friday. Due to heavy rain in Tonk on Friday, rivers and drains are in spate. The water level in many dams reached the highest level. In Namokiya village of Malpura police station area of Tonk, three people riding on a tractor got trapped in the fast flow of water while crossing the drain. Police rescued them safely.

Malpura’s Thanadhikari Chenaram said that after heavy rains in Malpura, three people riding a tractor were trapped in the strong current of the drain. The police team rescued them safely from the water current. He said that the administration has declared a holiday in schools for two days as a precaution. The water level of Bisalpur Dam has started rising due to the rain in Tonk and its surrounding areas in the last two days.
Three people including a girl died in Bikaner
On the other hand, three people including a girl died when a factory wall collapsed in Bichwal police station area of Bikaner district on Friday. Bichwal police station officer Naresh Kumar said that the wall of a factory collapsed in Shobhasar area. Two labourers and a child died after being trapped in it. He said that the deceased have been identified as Pinna, Sanjay and one-year-old Manisha, residents of Madhya Pradesh.
Most rain in Malpura
According to Jaipur Meteorological Center, during the last 24 hours till 8.30 am on Friday, Malpura recorded the highest rainfall of 176 millimetres (mm) while Sikar recorded 53 mm, Dabok (Udaipur) 40.2 mm, Karauli 32.5 mm, Alwar 30 mm, Kota 26.8 mm, Vanasthali 22.4 mm, Bhilwara 21.4 mm, Anta 18.5 mm, Jaipur 13.5 mm and light to moderate rain was recorded at many other places. According to the center, from Friday morning to 5.30 pm, Karauli recorded 55.5 mm, Anta 28 mm, Bikaner 21.4 mm, Kota 17.8 mm, Jaipur 17.6 mm, Dholpur 9 mm and light to moderate rain was recorded at many other places.
Heavy rain alert in Rajasthan for next two days
The spokesperson of the Meteorological Center said that rain activities will continue in some parts of eastern Rajasthan on Saturday and there is a possibility of heavy rain at some places. He said that there is a possibility of reduction in rain on July 7 and 8, while some parts of north-eastern Rajasthan may receive rain. He said that there is a possibility of increase in rain activities in eastern Rajasthan again from July 9-10. According to the spokesperson, there is a possibility of rain with thunder and storm in the Bikaner division of western Rajasthan for two-three days after noon. According to him, there is a possibility of rain at some places in the eastern and northern parts of Jodhpur division.
