Timings of government and private schools changed in view of increasing cold in Rajasthan, see update here

Jaipur : Education Department is changing the timings of schools to prevent winter. Schools are run on its basis, but Shivra Panchang is being flouted by private schools. Private schools decide the timing arbitrarily. This causes problems to young children. They go to school shivering in winter. In view of this, the Education Department has issued orders to run all the schools according to Shivra Panchang. It is also written in the order that if any school operator disobeys the order, strict action will be taken against him.

…then recognition and progress will stop

Education Director Ashish Modi said that during the winter season, government and private schools will operate in one shift from 10 am to 4 pm and the second shift will be from 7.30 am to 5.30 pm. He said that at present all the non-government schools running in the state do not follow the Shivra calendar completely. Even as winter progresses, schools continue to function as before. Keeping this in mind, instructions have been given to all non-government schools to run their schools as per the calendar. If the order is disobeyed, recognition and promotion can be withdrawn.
