Barmer : District Collector Tina Dabi reached the border areas for the first time under the Maru Udan programme. While talking to the women, the collector said that all of you should drink cow’s milk, take care of yourself and keep your bones strong. Special care has to be taken during menstruation.
Tina Dabi told women- You are very precious to me. When you leave here today, I must be sure that you will take advice from doctors. Then a woman standing in front said that you are very precious to us too. Then the collector started smiling. Many collectors have come to Barmer but this is the first time that a collector has come among us.
Actually, Maru Udaan program was started with the resolve of women empowerment and strong women empowered society under Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao scheme. The fifth block level dialogue program was organized on Wednesday in the Gadara Road Panchayat Samiti premises.
During this, women interacted with subject experts and resolved their doubts and took a pledge for a strong women-empowered society. During this, issues related to nutrition along with health check-up of women were discussed.
