Ting Liran temporarily trails 5-6 in World Chess Championship

Beijing, December 9 (IANS). The 11th game of the 2024 Chess Championship was played on 8 November in Singapore. Chinese player and reigning world champion Tin Liran lost to Indian newcomer Dommaraju Gukesh and temporarily trailed 5-6.

Tin made a good start in the 11th game, but he wasted a lot of time during this period.

Tin made a big mistake in the 28th round and accepted defeat in the 29th round. In this way, Gukesh came forward for the first time in this championship.

According to the rules, both sides will play 14 games, whoever scores 7.5 points first will win the championship.
