Jaipur : Karva Chauth is one of the most important festivals of Hinduism and is celebrated on the Chaturthi day of Krishna Paksha of Kartik month. This year, Karva Chauth will be celebrated around October 20, 2024. On this day, married women observe Nirjala fast to ensure the long life of their husbands and maintain a happy married life, which is broken when the moon rises.

Karva Vrat always begins with eating Sargi, which is eaten about two hours before sunrise. During this period, Karva Mata, Lord Ganesha and Moon are worshiped ritually. This year, Karva Chauth will also be under the influence of Bhadra. In such a situation, let us know what type of work married women should avoid doing during this period.

Bhadra time

Bhadra is considered auspicious in astrology. It is said that Bhadra creates obstacles in auspicious works. This year, on Karva Chauth, there will be shadow of Bhadra for 21 minutes on 20th October. The auspicious time of puja on the day of Karva Chauth is starting from 5:46 pm on 20th October 2024. This auspicious time will last till 19:02. On the day of Karva Chauth, Bhadra is from 06:24 to 06:46 in the morning. Karva Chauth fast will start before the beginning of Bhadra Kaal. In such a situation, the fasting person should take bath before sunrise, take sargi and take resolution of the fast.

Do not do these things during Karva Chauth fast

On the day of Karva Chauth fast, married women should not use white and black colored items in their makeup. If married women use these colors on Karva Chauth, the impact of negative energy can increase in their lives.
Do not start or invest in any property or business during Bhadra period.

Whenever there is any makeup item left after the puja on Karva Chauth, do not throw it here and there, rather float it in a holy river.
Avoid using sharp objects on this day. Also, do not hold any grudge against anyone and do not use abusive words.
Do not consume tamasic food after breaking the fast.

Women should do this work
Although there is no Bhadra at the time of Karva Chauth puja, if women are afraid of Bhadra, they can chant the mantra given below.
