There is a huge jump in the prices of vegetables
Due to the rise in the prices of onion, garlic and tomato, the taste of everyday dishes has faded. Due to which the kitchen budget of the house is deteriorating. Even before the start of the festive season, inflation has increased the worries of housewives. On Tuesday, the price of onion in various markets has reached 65 to 80 rupees per kg, the price of tomato 70 to 80 rupees per kg and the price of garlic 400 to 500 rupees per kg. The household budget is being affected due to the doubling of the prices of these essential commodities since the beginning of September.
Reasons behind inflation
According to Shivshankar Sharma, president of Muhana Potato Association Muhana Mandi, the stock of old onions has completely ended. Therefore, we have to depend on the new crop. The crop has been damaged due to rain in Alwar and Jhalawar. The prices have also increased due to the reduction in export duty. However, prices are expected to decrease from the third week of October due to the arrival of new crops from various districts of the state, Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh.
