Tonk accused of raping minor girl gets 20 years rigorous imprisonment

Tonk : Tonk POCSO Court on Wednesday sentenced a youth guilty of raping a minor girl to 20 years of rigorous imprisonment. Also, Special Judge Madhusudan Sharma has punished the guilty youth with a fine of Rs 2 lakh 5 thousand. Mohammad Mian Gulzar, Special Public Prosecutor of POCSO Court Tonk, said that on January 14, 2023, the victim’s brother had complained about the rape case in the office of the Superintendent of Police. On the instructions of SP, FIR was registered in Kotwali police station. It was told that the complainant’s mother was admitted to Saadat Hospital due to illness on 21 November 2022. His sister (victim) was taking care of him.

As soon as she came out of the hospital to get milk for her mother, Dharamveer, a resident of Siswali, Baran, came there and coaxed her sister and took her to the forests on a motorcycle. Raped her there. Later Dharamveer dropped him back at Saadat Hospital. He also threatened to kill him if he told the whole story to his family members. After a few days, the victim had stomach pain and got sonography done on the advice of the doctor. Investigation revealed that she was pregnant. Later when the family members asked, the victim told the whole story. Later, on the instructions of the SP, a report was lodged in the police station. The police investigated and presented the challan in the POCSO court. Today the judge found Dharamveer guilty and sentenced him to 20 years of rigorous imprisonment. Also imposed fine.
