Tonk Counting of votes will take place in the Government Post Graduate College located on Bahir Road.

Tonk : The administration is finalizing preparations for the counting of votes for Deoli-Uniara Assembly by-election starting at 8 am on November 23. Collector Dr. Soumya Jha and SP Vikas Sangwan took stock of these arrangements on Thursday and instructed the officials involved in counting of votes to work as per the guidelines of the Election Commission of India. Counting of votes will take place on 25 tables. District Election Officer said that rooms and tables have been set up for counting of votes in Deoli-Uniara assembly constituency.

He said that counting of postal ballots will be done on table number 1 to 4 in the drawing lab of the college and counting of EVMs will be done on table number 1 to 8. Also, counting of votes will be done through EVMs on table numbers 9 to 16 in Room N-7. Pre-counting of ETBPS will take place on table number 1 to 5 in Room N-6. On the instructions of Election Department and District Election Officer Dr. Soumya Jha, the second training program of the officers of the counting team formed for the by-election-2024 was organized at the Agricultural Training Center Tonk on Thursday under the direction of Electoral Registration Officer (SDM), Tonk.

General Observer in the training, Ashish Thackeray, inspired the trainees to take the training seriously by following the instructions of the State Election Department. Also informed the counting officers about the provisions and rules related to vote counting. Rameshwar Prasad Chaudhary, branch in-charge of the Election Registration Officer’s office, said that 29 micro observers, 24 counting supervisors and 24 counting assistants are required for counting the votes from EVMs and 6 micro observers, 6 ballot counting training and 13 ballot counting assistants are required for counting the votes. Assistants were given training. During the training, SLMT Vimal and Krishna Gopal Sharma explained in detail the instructions for counting of EVMs and postal ballots and gave theoretical and practical training.
