Tonk creates awareness under new initiative for cooperative education and training

Tonk : Ministry of Cooperation, Government of India has launched a new initiative to strengthen the cooperative sector. Under this initiative, an awareness program on cooperatives was organized for the members of various cooperative societies of the district through the Registrar of Cooperative Societies, Rajasthan, Jaipur and in collaboration with the Central Cooperative Bank, Tonk.

In the program, Dr. Neha Choudhary, Lecturer and Dr. Simran Aggarwal, Lecturer, from the Institute of Cooperative Management, Jaipur, gave information to the members of cooperative societies about the ‘Sahkar Se Samridhi’ initiative of the Government of India and its 54 programs. In the program Establishment of new multipurpose cooperative societies in the left out panchayats, PACS as common service centres, retail petrol/diesel shops, LPG distributorship, Jan Aushadhi Kendra, decentralized food storage. Scheme, new initiatives like water cooperatives, Sahara refund etc. were explained.

Through these initiatives, efforts are being made to strengthen the cooperative sector and boost the rural economy.

Managing Director of the bank, Rohit Singh said that adopting the above initiatives will strengthen PACS, increase business and will play an important role in strengthening the cooperative sector. The members present in the program appreciated such programs and said that it will prove to be very useful for them. On the occasion of organizing the program, the bank’s Managing Director Rohit Singh, Manager (Operations) Vikram Singh Chaudhary, Manager (Administration) Hemant Kumar and other officers and employees of the bank were also present.
