Tonk gave information to girl students on International Women’s Harassment Prevention Day

On the occasion of International Day for Prevention of Harassment of Women, a self-defense camp was organized under the joint aegis of State Women’s Policy, Women’s Cell and National Service Scheme at Tonk : Government College and Girls College in Niwai.

The program was presided over by the Principal of the college, Dr. Deepak Raj Jain. The special guest of the program was Dr. Panmal Pahadia, Principal of Girls College. Program in-charge Dr. Sona Aggarwal said that Hemraj, Asha and Sarju of Community Police Tonk taught the girl students the tricks of self-protection. Hemraj provided detailed information to the girl students about various legal systems, helpline numbers and rules related to following traffic rules for self-defense. He said that it is necessary to follow traffic rules while driving. One should not go there without a license.

It is necessary to use a helmet while riding a two-wheeler. Asha and Sarju ji gave practical knowledge to the girl students for their own safety and provided safety related training. He said that in the present times it is necessary for girls to be educated. The girl child should be educated and serve the society. Girls should be motivated for education. The program was conducted by Preeti Jain. All the faculty members and staff were present in the program.
